A narrow AI agent that handles one task, such as sorting support emails or updating a CRM, is often built by an agency for a few thousand US dollars. Agents that work across several systems with approvals and monitoring often cost tens of thousands. Monthly AI model and hosting fees are extra. Treat this as rough guidance.
How much does an AI agent cost per month to run?
Monthly cost has three parts: AI model usage (billed per amount of text processed), the platform or hosting it runs on, and support from whoever built it. A low-volume internal agent can cost very little each month; a busy customer-facing agent costs much more. Ask for an estimate based on your real monthly volume.
How much does an AI automation agency charge?
Most AI automation agencies quote a fixed price per project, charge an hourly or daily rate for open-ended work, or sell a monthly retainer for ongoing improvements.
